Your Sub-Zero runs two separate cooling systems — one for the fridge, one for the freezer. Almost nothing else in a kitchen is built that way.

You see the repair price in writing before we start. Say no and you pay the $95, nothing else.
We stop and show you. If a second fault turns up, you get a written price for that work before we touch it — and you decide whether to go ahead. Nothing is ever added to your bill without your approval.

Usually yes. Sub-Zero built these to be rebuilt, and parts for the 500 and 600 series are still made. A new built-in runs $12,000 to $18,000 once you count the cabinet work.
Under about 40 percent of that and fixing it is the better deal. We will tell you straight when it is not.

The condenser needs cleaning. It is a reminder, not a breakdown — but do not sit on it. Salt air and dust clog the condenser, and that is what kills compressors early here.
